Settlement Checking Service Appointment Request

This is the quickest way to get an appointment!

Please complete the form below. We will always offer the earliest date, usually within 10 working days. This form is to make a provisional booking enquiry only. To make a confirmed booking we will contact you and take payment over the phone by credit or debit card. Details for payment will be sent with the confirmation of your booking. Unfortunately we are unable to receive payment electronically at this time.

The fee that you will pay for your appointment is non-refundable; failure to produce the documents required by the Home Office will render your application void and we will be unable to process it. If you wish to make an additional appointment a further fee will be incurred. If you need to cancel or change your appointment for any reason please contact the office immediately, we will be happy to help you but can only refund the appointment fee if we are given 5 working days notice. Missed appointments will still be charged.

Your appointment may not conclude in your application being submitted.  In the event of your application not being submitted, you may not receive a refund.

Information on the documentation required to support a SET (M) application can be found in the SET (M) application form and guidance notes available on the UK Border Agency website.

It is your responsibility as the applicant to ensure that you fully meet the requirements for Settlement, and we cannot give immigration advice. Applicants who need immigration or nationality advice should go to an OISC registered immigration and nationality advisor before applying, and should note that the Local Authority bear no responsibility whatsoever for the outcome of the application.

If you require advice you can contact the Immigration Enquiry Bureau on 0870 606 7766. Lines are open from 09:00 until 16:45 Monday to Thursday and 09:00 until 16:30 Friday (excluding Public holidays). The UK Border Agency website also offers settlement advice.

Please note we can only process Settlement Applications for applicants using the SET (M) form.

Currently, we can only process applications for applicants who obtained their spouse visa before 9th July 2012 (old rules).
